Throughout his life, Arvin has been a naturally inquisitive individual. Outside of his professional civilian career, Arvin is proudly serving as a direct commission officer in the US Navy Reserves as a Cryptologic Warfare officer (Designator 1815). Joe Raschke
Joe has spent his career across many vertical markets including manufacturing, financial, legal, and healthcare markets. He has managed teams at companies ranging from regional firms to global enterprises, and developed infrastructure, security and compliance programs for those companies. Bringing insight into the mind of a CISO, Joe has implemented regulatory programs to address today’s complex compliance requirements such as HIPAA/HITECH, ITAR, SOX, and GDPR. He would bring the InfraGard Board a broad background of experience working with people and security, bolstered by his CISSP (Security), CRISC (Risk) and CIPP (Privacy) certifications. In his past role at Illinois Tool Works (ITW) he was responsible for establishing a Cybersecurity Program that guided and instructed 85 Divisions on Cybersecurity from Risk Management, Incident Response, Vulnerability Analysis, and Resilience. Joe is currently a Principal Solution Strategist with Saviynt, A Gartner recognized leader in Identity Governance.
Joe has been active in the Chicago area over the past 30 years as well with his family and with Baseball and Cub Scouts. Joe is a District Commissioner with the Pathway to Adventure Council, and Cub Master of Cub Scout Pack 39 with over 120 members.
With a passion for education and making connections with people, being an InfraGard member for the past six years has been a great experience. Joe’s role, if elected, would be to continue that outreach to InfraGard Members and prospective members around the Chicago Area. Graciela Perera
She currently, volunteers Vice Chair for the year 2019 and has been a member since Fall 2017 of the CompTIA’s Executive Council, Advancing Diversity in Technology Community. In Spring 2012, Graciela Perera was a visiting professor at University of Texas at El Paso. She received her Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of South Florida. Her current emphasis in research is innovative pathways between students and testbeds with a focus on discovering applied experimental approaches towards modeling Internet attacks and defenses.
She has been involved in efforts to increase the participation of women, minorities, and Hispanics. She was the recipient of the 2011 Estrella de LUNA award from Ohio’s Latinas United Networking Association. This award is given to a Latina in the community who exemplifies generosity and dedication to Hispanics and the community. Additionally, implementing collaborative activities inside and outside the classroom allows Graciela to actively engage her students, colleagues and community in the process of learning and research. She is the founder of the first student Affinity Research Group at Youngstown State University and is part of the Computing Alliance for Hispanic-Serving Institutions (CAHSI). CAHSI received a grant worth $9,900,000 from National Science Foundation’s (NSF’s) Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (INCLUDES) program. Graciela will represent NEIU for the Northeast region. The funding will create opportunities for institutions in the region to share experiences, to work together through workshops, meetings and regular communications between institutions. Michele recently launched Mountain View Partners, Inc , an advisory firm focused on Security and Privacy for the Remote Worker and K-12 Sectors.
Born in Indiana, Michele came from a family of 5 girls where her parents instilled independence, a strong work ethic, integrity, problem solving, and service as core values. Michele began her technology career as a young programmer at US Steel in Chicago, where she was selected for a two-year international assignment in Venezuela as part of US Steel’s Consulting technology team. Her experience continued to blossom through various leadership positions in technology at Beatrice Foods Company, Citibank and American National Bank. She was instrumental in 5 mergers: American National Bank into First Chicago, First Chicago NBD, Bank One, WaMu, and finally JPMorgan Chase. Prior to launching MP Global Ventures, LLC, she had a 20+year career at JPMorgan Chase as a Senior Vice President. She recently laced up her boots to hike Mt Kilimanjaro in January 2016 with her husband, David. In November 2019, they traveled with National Geographic to explore Antarctica.
